BOIL WATER NOTICE LIFTED
After conducting thorough testing of the water in the affected areas (Peppers Ferry Road: East of 1705 Peppers Ferry Road – Granite Christian Academy to 3206 Peppers Ferry Road; and, East Lee Trinkle Drive: 343 East Lee Trinkle Drive) during the water outage, the Town of Wytheville’s Water Treatment Plant has been able to confirm that there is no hazard or contamination present. These results allow for the Boil Water Notice to be lifted effective immediately, and the regular use and consumption of water to resume as normal. Thank you for your understanding throughout this event.

Morgan Contracting will begin the Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project on Monday, March 10, 2025, along East Monroe Street in Wytheville. This project is expected to take most of the week to complete. The project will extend from approximately mid-block between North 7th and North 11th Streets and extend southwest along East Monroe Street to approximately mid-block between North 7th and North 5th Streets. This portion of East Monroe Street will be completely closed to traffic between North 11th and North 5th Streets. The contractor will be responsible for composing a detour of this area, daily, from 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Before and after these times, the street will be reopened for normal traffic use. Contracting staff will coordinate with homeowners to provide passage to and from their residences through the work zone between these blocks. Town staff suggests that all traffic use alternate routes around this area. The Town of Wytheville apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates citizens' cooperation and understanding.
